School-Wide Event Program

Maine-ly Nutrition’s School-wide Event Program is available to all elementary and middle schools who participate in the Maine-ly Nutrition Project. Schools submit an application form to the Maine Nutrition Network detailing the date and time of their nutrition education event, a brief description and a detailed budget for the $250.00 awarded to schools whose applications we accept.

Guidelines for submitting a School-wide Event Application are as follows:

• ALL applications are due by the beginning of March of the current school year
• A budget must be attached
• The application form must be filled out completely
• The School-wide event planning committee must consist of 1 person from each of the following groups: School Administrator, Teacher, School Food Service Staff member, Community member/parent, Student.

Fun fact: During the 2003-2004 school year, approximately 40 Maine-ly Nutrition schools held successful School-wide Events!
